Ryanair cuts free checkin window from four days to 48 hours

first_imgMay 18, 20180 Comments Blog Ryanair is reducing the window in which you can check-in for free from four days before your flight to only two days.Ryanair’s free check-in window will shrink from four days to 48 hours starting 13th June. The new move means passengers going away for a long weekend will no longer be able to check-in for both their outgoing and incoming flights before they fly – instead forcing holidaymakers to check-in for the incoming flight while they’re away.Ryanair argues that its new policy is still “double the 24-hour check-in period operated by Aer Lingus, British Airways, Lufthansa, Norwegian and Iberia.”Customers who have pre-booked a seat on the plane will be allowed to check in up to 60 days before flying.Earlier in the year, Ryanair raised the price of reserving a seat from £2 to £4, while the cost of reserving seats with more leg room increased from £7 to £13.01.The change applies to both new bookings and existing reservations for flights departing 13th June 2018.center_img Ryanair cuts free check-in window from four days to 48 hourslast_img
